January 5, 2016

Greetings from your Whitefish Chain Yacht Club:

While we do have some snow, this winter, so far has, been very pleasant. 2015 was great for our boating season, and the fall could not have been nicer. We really hated to see such a great year come to an end.

Besides the weather the past year was a wonderful year for the Whitefish Chain Yacht Club (WCYC). We ended the year with 218 paid members, almost a ten percent increase over 2014. We also learned, through the Crow Wing County’s Water Patrol that boating accidents were down over previous years. We also had our Youth Boating Safety Class and our free swimming lessons over three weeks in July. Another highlight for last summer was the Cardboard Boat Races held at Moonlight Bay.

As a member of the Whitefish Chain Yacht Club, you are able to request a reciprocity card to be admitted into many yacht clubs throughout the United States. If you would like a reciprocity card, please send in your annual dues and add a note to have a card sent to you. You can also request a card on our website. A dues statement is included with this letter.

If you have neighbors who are not members of WCYC, please invite them to join. Let them know how their dues benefit and promote our focus of “Safety on the Water”.

We are asking for members input on how you would like to communicate with your Club. If you naven't already done so, you can fill out our short four question survey here

Again, have a great 2016 and we are looking forward to another safe boating season.

Sincerely,

James R. Anderson,
Commodore
