Safety on the Water: Our Mission - Our Impact
Since it's inception 76 years the mission of our Club has been promoting safety on the water.
How are we doing? 2024 Season update in red:
In the past 6 years of classes we have, at NO cost to participants:
- Installed and maintained the system of over 115 navigation & safety buoys on the Chain. We have added 81 solar powered lights to those buoys to improve night time boating safety.
- Enabled 259 + 30 = 289 youth to receive their Youth Boat Operators Permits. (plus provided each with a personal flotation device aka life jacket).
- Helped 113 + 24 =137 participants enhance their boating skills through our Women At The Helm on the water classes.
- Introduced 5 newish boaters to the helm in our new Guys at the Helm class.
- Conducted 505 +120 = 625 swimmer sessions of our Swimming / Water Safety Classes.
Registration Information for Swimming/Water Safety, Youth Operator and Women At The Helm classes for 2025 will be available about April 1, 2025.
