Our summer social event this year.
This is it, let's make it a big one!
All Whitefish Chain boating enthusiasts mark your calendar for August 22, 2020 as the Whitefish Chain Yacht Club (WCYC) hosts it’s 2nd Boat Parade as a Fund Raiser for the maintenance of the newly lighted buoys……and a way to have a COVID compliant, on the water social event. Special efforts will be made to encourage non-members to join us for the parade and become WCYC members.
Our fleet will line up behind the Commodore’s boat at 2:00PM for a tour of Chain Lakes. The tentative route will be confirmed based on weather and wind forecast on Aug 20. Rally in Trout Lake, down around Manhattan Beach, into Whitefish, Island Lake, Rush Lake, past the Wharf, then into Cross Lake and ending at Moonlite Bay for dinner at about 5:00.
We encourage people to fly their American flags and the WCYC Burgee as well as decorate their boats with NON POLITICAL decorations. There will be prizes for “best dressed”. We have secured a permit for the event……the Water Patrol will be on the lake to help direct traffic, etc. The parade event will take place rain or shine..use your bimini or umbrellas :) We love water!
There is no charge to register your boat for the parade.
The post parade meal at Moonlite Bay cost is $25 per person (menu below).

We would like you to register by August 19 so we have a count for boat participation and dinners.
If you can not participate in the parade or meal, but would still like to donate to the fund raiser for buoy maintenance you can donate here.
Menu for the post parade meal:
A choice of: Sandwiches: Served on a Croissant with “fixings”
* BLT
* Ham
* Chicken Salad
* Turkey Salad
Sides: Choice of TWO
* Potato Salad
* Pasta Salad
* Cole Slaw
Dessert:
* 2 Mini Cheese Cakes
The meal will be served “boxed style” for ease of serving…..(and “safe handling”)
Meals can be eaten on our boats at the dock or on the deck outside the restaurant.
A CASH BAR will be available at the docks
We will maintain “social distancing”, walking on the docks is acceptable.
WCYC Burgees and Gaiters are available for purchase as a part of the registration process, or separately on the website. Description below.

1) Face covering/masks are now required in many situations. Neck gaiters are listed as an acceptable option.
2) We are all aware of the dangers of skin cancer the value of protective measures such as SPF clothing.
3) Summer has arrived, along with blistering afternoon temps. Relief from the heat is required. Or after the passage of a cold front protection from a chill wind.
WCYC has the answer for all three, and allows you to do it in style!
Fly your club burgee proudly for the parade, and all season long
Members Only can purchase WCYC burgees during the registration process.
The club standard is 12" x18" screen printed with the club logo and WCYC on a blue field. Cost is $25.00
The retro burgee is a replica of the club's original burgee circa 1952. It is 12" x 18" cut and stitch with a white fish and red YC on a blue field. Cost is $45.00. Limited quantity.
